Author’s Guide

Overview

Welcome to the ICWES20 Author’s Guide portal. To ensure a high-quality program and to support the publication goals of our presenters, we offer two submission tracks: Oral Presentations and Poster Presentations.

1. Full Paper Submissions (Oral Presentations)

Authors selected for Oral Presentations are encouraged to submit a full paper.

  • Publication Strategy: To avoid “dual publication” issues, ICWES20 will only publish Extended Abstracts in the official Conference eProceedings. This allows authors to remain eligible for submission to scholarly journals.

  • Journal Partner: We are pleased to announce that selected high-quality full papers will be recommended for peer review and potential publication in the Philippine Journal of Science (PJS).
  • Formatting: Full papers must strictly adhere to the PJS style.

2. Extended Abstract Requirements

All oral presenters (with or without submitted paper) are required to submit an Extended Abstract for inclusion in the ICWES20 eProceedings.

3. Poster Presentation Guidelines

If your submission has been accepted as a Poster, please follow the technical specifications below to ensure your work is legible and professional.

  • Size: ISO A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm).

  • Orientation: Portrait (Vertical).

  • Design: Use the official ICWES20 layout to maintain conference branding.

Submission Checklist

Before uploading your files to the Submissions Portal, please ensure:

  1. Your Extended Abstract follows the provided template.

  2. Files are saved in PDF format (unless otherwise specified).

  3. All author affiliations and contact details are up to date.

Note: The Technical Paper Committee reserves the right to request revisions if the formatting does not meet the standards outlined above.

Conference Proceedings and Journal Publication

After acceptance of abstract, principal author shall be notified to submit the Extended Abstract/Poster on or before May 31, 2026 for inclusion in the official ICWES20 Conference e-proceedings.

For full paper submission, the selection of outstanding full papers will undergo peer review and may be published in the Philippines Journal of Science, the country’s premier scientific publication.

For poster presentation, the ICWES20 conference adopts standard dimension of A0 (Cm: 84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm tall/Inches: 33.11 inches wide x 46.81 inches tall) There will be NO landscape layout.
